Titre : Quantum materials under strain: from cuprates to kagome superconductors
Résumé : I will take the opportunity of the seminar to introduce myself to the Institut Néel as a new chargé de recherche (since January 2025) in the “Magnetism & Superconductivity” (MAGSUP) team. I will describe some of my past research topics, from the physics of high-temperature cuprate superconductors to the recently discovered kagome superconductors. This will give me the chance to highlight the relevance of different strain-based approaches for uncovering some of the quantum materials mysteries, from ultrasound to elastoresistance measurements. We will discuss how these methods can help us to understand the interplay between the rich electronic band structure of kagome metals and their equally rich electronic properties, my current research project. Lastly, I will present the progress we have made over the past few months and the plans for the upcoming ones.
