Abstract: IN22 is a very versatile tool among thermal three-axis spectrometers. IN22 is well known for its ability to perform neutron scattering measurements in spherical polarized analysis but it can now also measure the lifetime of an excitation or determine the magnetic phase diagram up to 40T.

One of its first published results with the pulsed 40T magnet, which is a collaboration between LNCMI-Toulouse, ILL and CEA-Grenoble, was the phase diagram of URu2Si2. However, TbB4 was the first measurement made in this magnet, but the result was so surprising that it took us a few years to figure it out. During the presentation, I will show the results obtained on TbB4, a crystal which can be considered as a Shastry-Sutherland lattice. With the help of Navid Qureshi and Mag2Pol, we were able to match the magnetization plateau and neutron diffraction intensities and develop a model that we will verify soon with further experiments with the 40T pulse magnet on IN22 [1].
