Prepare your trip or your stay in France

Before your arrival, we will contact you to assist you with all the administrative procedures necessary for your stay (recruitment file, employment contract, hosting agreement, university enrollment, etc.).

Once your dates of stay are confirmed, it will be time to prepare for your arrival in France.

We recommend that you bring with you certain essential documents:

  • your identity card / your passport

  • your health record and vaccination certificates

  • your birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.

  • your diplomas and other certificates

  • your driving licence

  • the original copy of your hosting agreement

  • for Europeans, Swiss nationals and Quebec residents, the European Health Insurance Card or the form from the Régie de l’Assurance Maladie du Québec

Will your family be accompanying you? Remember to bring your family record book and all documents relating to each family member (identity card, health record, school reports, proof of the family’s income for the last fiscal year, marriage and birth certificates, etc.).

It is also recommended that you take out a repatriation insurance policy covering the entire duration of your stay. This insurance will cover your repatriation in the event of, for example, a serious illness. Check with your bank, as some institutions include this insurance with their bank cards.
