Innovative technological developments resulting from the laboratory can be licensed by interested partners without the need for patent protection.

Currently, 15 know-how licenses are active and directly exploited by industrial partners.

Patents of invention

Institut NEEL is present in 50 patent applications filed over the last ten years, 31 of which have resulted in international PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) extensions, 34 of which were filed jointly with its academic and industrial partners.

The long-term objective of these applications is generally to use these patents through licenses for French or foreign manufacturers. There are also 8 software protection applications and 24 production licenses.
