Scientists, engineers and technical staff of the Institute have gathered into research teams and technological support groups based on their sharing common goals, concerns, expertise. This allows us to reach a critical size to address competitive topics.
Meanwhile, we all share common needs: synthesize materials and devices, measure their properties, understand them through modeling and theory, address societal issues although through different routes. This explains the need to organize discussion and the sharing of expertise beyond the limits of groups and even departments. This is done through transversal actions, the major ones being listed here.
The first mission assigned to transversal actions is to organize internal discussions on chosen topics, organize the dissemination of expertise and access to technical setups. The second mission is to act as a spokes-actor towards partners, be they academic, societal or from the industry.
