On March 4, 2026, the Cryonext programme brought together its partners and stakeholders from the quantum ecosystem at the Institut Néel in Grenoble for a seminar dedicated to the programme’s progress and to the presentation of the roadmaps of the six R&D projects, as well as their short-term outlooks.
The morning sessions provided an overview of the scientific and technological directions of the projects. Two round-table discussions then enriched the exchanges: the first focused on collaborative innovation and user-centric system design, while the second addressed national and European sovereignty in key quantum technologies, with experts from the CEA, CNRS, Thales Research & Technology, Air Liquide Advanced Technologies, Quandela and the Secrétariat général pour l’investissement (SGPI).
The networking lunch and poster session then allowed program partners—companies and research laboratories—to present their work and foster discussions among participants.
In the afternoon, participants visited technology platforms at Air Liquide Advanced Technologies, Absolut System, the CEA and the Institut Néel. Demonstrations and technical discussions directly in front of the equipment were particularly appreciated by attendees.
The seminar highlighted the strong collaborative dynamic of the Cryonext programme and the commitment of its partners to accelerate innovation in cryogenic technologies for quantum applications. 🚀
