Fourth-generation synchrotron in service since August 25, 2020, Grenoble

Synchrotron reopens its doors to the projects of scientists from around the world after two years of works.

The new beam of light is 100 times brighter than the previous one. It boasts a world first for “hard” Xrays, and opens a new era for the exploration of matter.

The 5 french CRG beamlines at ESRF propose to make the most of the exceptional features of this new source through their “magnifix” project.
