This event was a continuation of the MEET@NEEL project, co-funded by the European Union and the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, which enabled CNRS to acquire a state-of-the-art transmission electron microscope in partnership with Constellium.
The program began with a lecture on diffraction in a scanning electron microscope, then focused on research and development in the Grenoble area, with presentations on aluminum alloys (Constellium), semiconductors (ST Microelectronics) and battery materials (CEA-LITEN).
The speakers answered the audience’s enthusiastic questions in a comprehensive and didactic manner, and then all the participants gathered around a buffet where they continued to exchange ideas.
The day ended with a visit to the JEOL NEOARM electron microscope at Institut Néel, and everyone is already planning to return for the 2026 edition.
