Research overview:
I am interested in the optical properties of semiconductor nano-structures and their application in quantum devices. This include in particular the optical study and control of the spin dynamics and the development of spin-photon interface for individual defects in semiconductors.
Biography:
I am Directeur de Recherche (Senior Researcher) at CNRS. I received a PhD degree from the University of Grenoble in October 2001. After a postdoctoral stay in the Quantum Optoelectronics group of the University of Southampton (Prof J.J. Baumberg group, now at University of Cambridge) where I developed optical coherent control experiments on individual quantum dots, I joined in Oct. 2003 the Laboratoire de Spectrométrie Physique (University of Grenoble and CNRS, now called LiPhy) as a Chargé de Recherche CNRS to start the optical study of the spin properties of magnetic and charged quantum dots. I joined in 2008 the Institut Néel. This gave me the opportunity to further develop my work on the optical properties of self-assembled quantum dots, with a more specific interest in optical control of spins and spin dynamics. I obtained in 2012 my Habilitation Degree in Physics from the University Grenoble Alpes and a position as Directeur de Recherche at CNRS in 2015.
