Abstract: This thesis investigates quantum coherence and interference in a 14 µm-long electronic Mach-Zehnder interferometer using ultrashort voltage pulses. We demonstrate, for the first time, coherence in the nonadiabatic regime where the drive frequency exceeds the characteristic timescale of the device, attributing its origin to the nonlinearity of our electronic beam splitter. In this regime, we achieve coherence with plasmonic excitations induced by pulses as short as 30 ps, demonstrating that we reach the few-electron regime with only a few electrons injected per pulse. These results represent a significant step toward the realization of a fully functional electronic flying qubit.
