"NMR studies on nearly isolated s=1/2 triangular system KBa3Ca4Cu3V7O28"

Abstract

In this seminar, I present the result of 51V NMR measurements on s=1/2 triangular antiferromagnetic cluster KBa3Ca4Cu3V7O28, a prototype of a geometrically frustrated system. Spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T1 shows a characteristic dependence on both temperature and external magnetic field. Such behaviors are explained qualitatively by simple energy structure, in which fourfold degenerated ground state with total spin ST=1/2 is lifted by the DM interaction into two branches. These results allow us to discuss a possible chiral fluctuation that expected between those two branches with different spin chirality.
