"Magnetism as seen by Nuclear Resonance techniques"


With the advent of nuclear resonance scattering with synchrotron radiation (NRS) the outstanding properties of the Moessbauer effect and those of the synchrotron radiation have emerged to a new quality in applications under extreme conditions and vibrational spectroscopies.
After a short introduction to NRS typical examples of investigations with emphasis to magnetic properties will be presented such as of exchanged coupled thin films, magnetic nano-structures, magnetism at high pressure and in (pulsed) magnetic fields, magnetic domains, probe layer technique, and superconductivity.
Eventually, a short outline of the Nuclear Resonance beamline and its experimental infrastructure shall invite you for your next experiment at the ESRF.
