"Out-of-equilibrium conductance oscillations in Au-Ba(Fe,Ni)2As2 point contacts"
Orateur : Hadrien Grasland (Magnétisme & Supraconductivité)

Abstract :

To understand the origin of superconductivity in iron pnictides, one possible path is to study the coupling of conduction electrons to bosonic modes, such as phonons and magnons. This coupling is accessible, together with superconducting gaps, by using an electrical transport technique called Point Contact Spectroscopy.
However, when applying this technique to the 122 pnictide Ba(Fe,Ni)2As2, we have revealed the presence of reproducible resonant peaks in experimental data. These cannot be a purely spectroscopic feature of the material, and must be correctly understood and modeled before any reliable conclusion can be made about a material’s electron-boson coupling in the superconducting state. In this presentation, I will discuss this phenomena and the level of theoretical understanding achieved so far.
