Grenoble large scale facilities

The Institute has a long standing expertise in X-ray synchrotron and neutron techniques and data analysis. At least eight research and technological teams of NEEL Institute are strongly involved in in both grenoble large facilities, ESRF and ILL

The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility located in Grenoble, is a joint facility supported and shared by 19 European countries. The ESRF is an international research institute for cutting-edge science with photons : Discovery of the structure and dynamics of our complex world, down to the single atom.

The Institut Laue-Langevin is an international research centre at the leading edge of neutron science and technology. The Institute operates one of the most intense neutron sources in the world, feeding intense beams of neutrons to a suite of 40 high-performance instruments that are constantly upgraded.
