Research activities :

- Kuntheak Kheng is Professor at the Grenoble University Joseph Fourier. His interests are the optical properties of quantum dots and quantum wires at the single nanostructure level, the optimization of growth conditions to improve the optical properties, the exploration of possibilities of using nano-emitters for quantum optics.

- He is the coordinator of the French National Agency (ANR) project BONAFO (BOîtes dans NAnofils pour l’Optique, Dots in Nanowires for Optic whose targets are to acquire the growth control of heterostructures in nanowires (with InAsP, CdZnSe and AlGaN), to get a deep understanding of their optical fundamental properties and to evaluate their advantages for opto-electronic applications.
