Bernard Barbara, Alexandre Joannidès prize of the French Academy of Sciences
The Alexandre Joannidès prize is a distinction of the French Academy of sciences for scientific works which are of interest to a broad public.
Bernard Barbara, CNRS research director, works on the magnetism of nano-objects, their tunnelling and relaxation properties and on magnetic qubits.
In 2002, he was the laureate of the Agilent prize of the European physical society together with Wolgang Wernsdorfer et Roberta Sessoli.
During his carrier, Beranrd Barbara trained numerous young researchers and assistant professors whose excellence is broadly recognized.
